People and Office Assistant
A little about us
It all started in 2020, with our founder (Barney) baking cinnamon buns in his mum’s kitchen during lockdown. Fast forward a few years, and buns from home is now a fast growing family of bakeries scattered across London, loved for our iconic buns and exciting weekend specials. We're a cheerful, tight-knit team passionate about constantly creating really really yummy baking that has our customers leaving us happy and full.
What we are looking for
As a People and Office Assistant you will be key in supporting the People department and helping with additional office administration. The successful candidate will play an important role in fostering a positive work environment, supporting People initiatives, and facilitating smooth office operations. They will report directly into the People team.
Key responsibilities
·Supporting the People team with onboarding employees.
·General People administration including the updating and maintenance of the People system ensuring accurate employee record keeping.
·Helping to manage general administrative duties.
·Supporting staff wellbeing initiatives and internal communications.
·Taking minutes during disciplinary meetings.
·Ad-hoc projects to support the People and office team.

·A genuine interest in learning about Human Resources and people-focused work.
·Personable and approachable.
·Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
·Confident written and verbal communication.
·Confident typing skills.
·Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
·A proactive and positive attitude.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
·No prior experience required, just a willingness to learn!
